Hamlet 2 came out of nowhere. A sequel to Shakespeare’s Hamlet and you know what, it is a great sequel. I’m pretty sure Shakespeare would love this movie as much as I did… OK joking about Shakespeare liking it… maybe?
The cast of Hamlet 2 was really good! First off we have Steve Coogan who plays Dana Marschz the drama teacher with emotional issues. Also, Catherine Mraschz, a drunken wife to Dana. Elizabeth Shue, who plays well, Elizabeth Shue, is a nurse who wanted to get away from Hollywood. Last but not least David Arquette is in the film, who plays Gary and maybe says three lines throughout the whole movie. Oh, and Amy Poehler is the lawyer, Cricket Feldstein, who is flippin’ hilarious
Hamlet 2’s plot goes like this… Dana was a commercial actor that didn’t make it big, so he moves to Tucson, Arizona and becomes a drama teacher. Soon to his knowledge, the drama department is about to shut down so he decides to write a play and writes Hamlet 2. The school principal gets a copy and bans it from the school, so the lawyer Cricket comes in and saves the play. Let’s just say the play part was hilarious. It was comic-genius!
I know Hamlet 2 is probably at your local dollar theater right now or it not at any theater. See it on DVD it will be worth your time. It is a fun and harmless comedy! (Minus the harmless). Sorry again for the late reviews… I still have Disaster Movie, Bangkok Dangerous, and Babylon A.D.
